Creating Hope From Sadness

Bethel Funerals is an independently owned, not-for-profit funeral home. It has been built upon the principles of Christian love and compassion. Not only do we wish to bring hope into the hearts of the families and friends to whom we directly minister, but also reach the lives of those who endure hardship.

For this reason we pass on all of our profits to support Christian mission, Humanitarian and community work. By simply allowing Bethel to help you through your time of need, you are also spreading hope and making a lasting difference to many other families.

Honouring Legacies

When arranging a funeral with us, your loved one will be valued and honoured by our services, and the seeds of their legacy will continue to spread and grow to bring hope to the hearts of those whom they never even met. As a family member, you can choose where this real contribution will be directed, and how their legacy will live on and change the future of so many.

How We Care

All members of our team have the experience, the commitment and the empathy necessary to guide you through this time. As devoted Christians, we practice compassion and are dedicated to helping you celebrate and remember your loved one’s life, while giving you and your family the time and space you need to grieve.

We are committed to the families we serve and we understand that each person’s life and death are unique. We have a high regard for what we do and dedicate our work to providing all of the necessary support to grieving families and friends in our community.

James seemed to think of everything.
James was wonderful and my mother spoke about him again yesterday. The whole family felt that he conducted himself beautifully and our minister also commented that he provided a service which was over and above other companies that she has had experience with.

The staff at Bethel were loving, caring, helpful and supportive throughout the whole process. With my mum being a generous giver over her lifetime, she would have been so happy that any profits from her funeral actually go towards mission work.

I thought every facet of Anne’s funeral was carried out with dignity and understanding.
My children and I were consulted at each stage as to what we wanted and what options we had. This put us all at ease at this most upsetting time and made us feel ‘we were running the show’.
We could not have asked for better. Whatever you are paying them, they deserve a rise!

Mal was so kind and a wonderful spiritual guide through the whole process.
From the first phone call to the completion of the funeral, Mal was just brilliant. He prayed with me and helped to guide me through a very distressing time.

We were treated with respect and care during our whole experience with Bethel.
From the minute we first rang we felt secure in the knowledge that our family would be treated with respect and looked after in death. Petra and Andrew were so considerate and kind and went out of their way to support us. Your understated, but reassuring presence was perfect for our family.

Nothing was too much trouble. Communication was excellent. Compassion and care was excellent.
From organising a prepaid funeral and funeral bonds right through to the very end, everything was explained fully. Plenty of options were given to allow us to conduct everything at a pace we were comfortable with. In particular the preparation of Mum for the viewing was amazing. We all agreed that your mortician made her look the best we’d seen her in many years. We were very grateful to be able to send her off looking her best.

The service provided was sensitive and customer focussed. Mum appreciated that it was Christian. Everything was prompt and clear. Mal was lovely. All email contact was lovely. The funeral was just what we wanted and we love that it’s a NFP (not-for-profit) and that we could donate to a charity of our choice. I have been recommending you to everyone!

Ray’s funeral honoured our families wishes. The coordination on the day was smooth and the staff showed care for our family.
All the staff were respectful and sensitive to our family in our acute time of grief. They quietly provided relevant information in a timely manner when we were planning Ray’s funeral. Even though our requests for Ray’s funeral preparation were not the usual, our family requests were easily accommodated.

The special attention to detail is what Bethel always does well. The personal attention from the staff after the mass to my family was touching.
I really cannot add or comment as the service we received was ever so special. They even allowed dads dogs to bid him farewell at the personal viewing.
Nothing was too difficult and everything that was promised was delivered with a nice touch. I have used bethel Funerals a couple of times previously and the level of Personal care is truly brilliant

Samantha was loving and caring over this period, giving the family time to respond to questions and needs and we will be forever grateful to her.
We are all very happy and grateful for all that you did in every way for our beautiful Lisa. God bless you greatly in your work at a very vulnerable time for families in the loss of dear ones.

Cynthia J – 8/3/2019

The care that Anita & Andrew showed us was invaluable. We appreciated that they made my Dad’s funeral happen with no hassles or problems. Everything was done well. Nothing was too hard to do, that we asked for. We also appreciated how compassionate they were with us.
