Dearest Yohanna, Bernice and Nicodemus, There is no amount of words that I could say to bring comfort. Though we know it's not a 'good bye' but a "see you later' for Bernardd, still, the pain of losing someone dear can be heart wrenching. I grieve with you. Praying through this very tough time with you guys and just want you to know that you are very much in our thoughts and hearts over here in Singapore and the Grace Kids leaders are praying with you. Big big big hugs... Love you guys.

Bernard Choo Thank you so much for the time when you would disturb me whenever you pass by my office. You would always help with my request even when you are so busy. A strong, helpful and wonderful friend/colleague that I will always remember 🤗. I hope you are in a better place now! May your soul rest in peace. Still cannot believe and accept that you are in the different world now 😢. Too young and too soon! Miss your dimply smile always!

RIP bro, a pity we didn’t manage to get together for a secondary school gathering. Hope you are now in a better place. Deepest condolences your beloved family.

一路好走。兄弟

Sis Yohanna, We're praying for you, Bernice and Nicodemus, that God will give you all the comfort, peace and strength you need in this time. I (Serene) always remember Bro Bernard as someone who approached situations in his chill way, with a sense of humor, and yet he never compromised in doing what was right in God's sight. He showed God's love to those around him always, and I know that has and will continue to be of lasting significance to many people. Again, sending lots of love, God be with you.

Uncle Bernard was always a really hardworking man. I remember he used to pull double shifts all the time, but he would still come for family gatherings and have the energy to crack jokes with the kids. He will always be remembered. Sending love and a big virtual hug to the Choo’s — I love you! God bless.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Bernard, we know he was a beloved husband, father and brother. Sending all our love and prayers to the family at this difficult time and hope that the happy memories spent with him will carry them through the tough times and knowing he will always be watching over them

I met Bernard in 2006 and since then had a chance to build a good friendship over the years. Glad to know this friend who drives a lot of positivity to the people around him. It is sad to accept the news of him leaving, sincerely hoped that the family will stay strong. Take care.

Dear Bernard, May God’s blessing welcome you with open arms at the gates of heaven. May your brightness always shine down from above upon your family. Rest In Peace Dear Yohanna, Bernice and Nicodemus, May God comfort you, hold you in His arms and bring you healings. We pray you will find strength in your faith and be reminded of God’s love; easing your pain. “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3 Love You! Fr: Christopher Lim, Michelle, Addison n Audrey

A loving husband, A doting father, A respectable boss. The only comfort to your friends is knowing that you have gone home to be our Lord. You have fought a good fight indeed.

Sending healing prayers and comforting hugs to Yo, Bernice & Nicodemus. May you Rest In Peace, Bernard.

Dear Bernard, It is a very sudden sad news for us to hear that you have left us very early! Never expect of such early and sudden your departure! We will miss your smile always you used to present, I will not find such a classmate who teach us like a good teacher, we hard to find such a colleague who used to help physically and morally. I will say, as a fried, as a classmate, as a colleague and as a superior, you are always best in my heart. Rest in peace. My God give strength to your beloved family member to bear the pain.

Dear Yohanna, I will remember Bernard's kind smile, cheerful and positive attitude, lovely singing voice and how loving to you, Bernice and Nicodemus. He was a truly a special man. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy of his passing. You have a strong character and I'm sure you will be able to continue to lead the way forward, together with Bernice and Nicodemus. My deepest condolences to you, Bernice and Nicodemu and your family members.

Bro Bernard, it was a blessing serving alongside with you in children's church. Even when we had to teach a more rowdy class, you were always so cool, calm and collected. Thank you for sharing a part of your life with the people around you. You will be dearly missed. Sis Yohanna, we will be praying for you, Bernice and Nicodemus. May the Lord comfort you as you keep his memories in your heart. Stay strong as you have always been.

Dear Yohanna, It was truly a pleasure knowing Bernard. A wonderful guy I knew during school days who loved sports, especially volleyball and soccer. A lovely family man that has taken good care of you and the children. Someone who shared so much of life with you will forever be a part of you. Keeping you in my prayers as we remember Bernard.

Dear Bernard, you have fought a good fight against cancer and you are now in the loving arms of our Lord. We are gonna miss your presence in all the parties and gatherings. Thank you my friend for being part of our lives and goodbye... till we meet again. Dear Yo, Bernice and Nicodemus, Just wanna say we are grieving with you in this tough time. Hang on there for we know that God will take you through. Praying for the Lord's strength to be with you. Keeping all of you in our prayers. Take care!

I know Bernard through my days in ASMI. He is an outgoing and helpful person whom never turn me down whenever I need help. A sports enthusiast. Although I didn't have much chance working with hom as he went to production operations when I joined HSE department, nevertheless, he is a good friend that I will remember. Thanks for sending me your well wishes druing your tough days. Rest in peace, my big brother.

Yohanna, you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are deeply saddened by your loss and asking God to give you strength and take care of you and the children.

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace (Acts 20:24). Gone too soon, BIL Bernard. But you’ve stayed faithful to the confession of faith to the Good Lord, fought the good fight, run the race and finished it well testifying to the end God’s amazing grace. As so many have testified, you were a hardworking man, pulled many long hours shifts, laboured at work, at home and at church to serve your purpose and people close to you. You cared. You were gungho – never backing down from a task whether in your field of expertise or not. You always gave it a go, speaking Cantonese with my mother is an example. You laughed, never took life too seriously. And you loved. You loved your parents, siblings, uncles, aunties, cousins, MIL, the extended families, friends, church mates, and co-workers. You loved your children Bernice and Nicodemus, and my baby sister Yohanna – the love of your life. We often joke that we the five Wong Sisters are never wrong, and the BILs would retort that we are the Wrong Sisters. Oh, wrong we all can be, but one thing right for sure my lil sister has done is choosing you. Strong that she is, she is melted by your dimply smile and warmth. In this temporary absence and distance, shine down from where you are, light up her path, and the way the children would go. Oh, we know you would, you would continue to be in their lives in miraculous ways cheering them on. Delight being in the presence of the Lord and all the saints, and enjoy your sainthood, Bernard. To God be all the glory! In-Christ, Melissa

Thank God that we got to know such an incredible man, husband , dad and friend. He was such a resilient person with deep love for his family. He has indeed set a good role model of unconditional love and giving for Bernice and Nicodemus. Not forgetting a good sense of humour despite having to endure the challenges in life...

Matthew 13:3-9 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path…some fell on rocky places…other seed fell among the thorns. Still other seed fell on good soil, where you produced a crop – a hundred, sixty, or thirty times what was sown. God’s love was planted on good soil - in your heart Bernard! You had imprinted in our hearts with your love & acts of kindness. You walked the faith you professed and impacted many lives... We are very honored to have You as our brother in law. You joked and laughed with us. You had durians and other good food with us. You travelled (together with Yo, Bernice & Nicodemous) with us to JB and more… We can still vividly remember You were there with us and helped us when our car broke down in JB. You were generous and blessed us with many treats. You always went out of the way to send us home when we were not even close to where you used to stay in Singapore. All Glory to God, your lifetime was a testimony of God’s love! You had completed your race well and Your legacies will surely & always live on! You are fondly and dearly missed now. But we will see you again in Heaven, our glorious home!

兄弟,安心上路。走好了。 Dear Sis, Bernice & Nic, Words cannot describe the feelings we had when we received the news of Bernard’s return to Heaven. I pray that we all be given the strength to stand up and move forward again once we are ready. P.S. Bernard, send my love and regards to Tai. We will all meet again one day, dear brother.

Bernard, or Uncle Bernard to the kids, Thank you for leaving a legacy of love. We will always be grateful for the opportunity to experience your care. Till we will see you again. Love, The Kongs

Rest In Peace my friend, we know you are in a better place and one day we shall meet again. There are no goodbyes for us. You will always be our goalkeeper and defender. Your leadership is about inspiring people to do things they never thought they could, no matter who or what you are. From: Atlanticos Football Club

Have always felt Bro Bernard’s passion no matter whether it is supporting his favorite football club LFC, serving in Children’s ministry, studying for his exams, sharing in cell, etc. I will always remember you telling me that you slept 3-4 hrs daily so as to focus on your studies/ exams after work and could survive that and still remain bright and positive. Your calmness and warm smile will also remain etched in my memory. Know that you are in a better place now and praying that God’s continual peace, comfort and protection over Sis Yohanna and family.

Let our Abba Father be your source of strength and comfort. He is here and He is near. He is asking you to trust Him and He is telling you that He loves you very much. Bernard is well and is waiting for you at the other side. God is with him. There is an eternal that we all can look forward to. 💛

Dear Bernard, Remembering your wonderful and generous heart will always remain in our heart. With Love, Alan, Eddison and Hock Sun

Dear Yohanna, I can only imagine how much you must be missing Bernard. I pray that God will comfort you and give you peace during this time, knowing that Bernard has lived a life of courage, love and kindness, made a great difference to the lives of many, and knowing that he is now in the loving arms of Jesus our Lord. Most of all, knowing that you will be reunited with him again one day. Your family love story is inspiring, may you continue to live each day with hope, with Bernice and Nicodemus, hand in hand, running the marathon for Christ, to God be the glory. Take good care of yourself Yohanna, God loves you and is embracing you now. He never leaves you nor forsakes you. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 With love and prayers, Mae

Dearest Bernard, You'll be missed. Thank you for all your smiles, fun and friendship. Yohanna, Bernice & Nicodemus, we're grieving with you and will continue to pray for God's peace, comfort & love to surround all of you.

Please accept our deepest condolence for your great loss . Bernard will always be missed by us. Take care. 🙏

I always remembered Bernard as the responsible loving father to Bernice and Nicodemus and the sacrificial husband to Yohanna. He is indeed man of few words but in the few moments I hung out with the choo family, Bernard would dish out advice to me on how I view situations. Somehow I remember sitting in their living room at Toh yi, enjoying a casual afternoon with them as Nicodemus injured his leg. Glad to have crossed paths with Bernard and I believe he is smiling in heaven right now because he has left such a great legacy on earth. Dear Yohanna jiejie, You spoke so well at the memorial service and you are such a tough cookie! When this covid ends, I promise to come visit! Much love from us.

Dear Bernard, You are in a better place with God now. We know you are looking down and thinking about your lovely wife Yohanna and your wonderful children Bernice and Nicodemus. May the Choos continue being strong as a family and growing in God and honour God. I will always remember your positive attitudes, great sense of humour and your dad's jokes. You will be deeply missed.

Hey bro, you've gone ahead of us to be home with the Lord! I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to fellowship with you over a nice meal before you went! YNWA!

Bro, I appreciate and treasure our YNWA fellowship over the king of fruits in your alfresco a couple of months ago! I am sure the best durians are up there in heaven!

Dear Yohana, Our deepest condolences for your lost. I still remembered the times that Bernard served at Children Church and how he acted with some puppets with me for the lesson. He was so cool to do it with the team. Please take care and our prayers are with you and the kids. Sincerely Nancy Tan-Chan

Siew Cheong and I will like to send our deepest condolences to Yohanna and family. Take care and be strong. We are in prayers for you.

Deepest condolences to hear of your illness. RIP with our Lord!

Dear Yohanna , thanks for such a beautiful service that allowed us to see what a great man, husband and father Bernard was. Your marriage and love for each other is a testimony of God’s everlasting love for us. Bernard lived a great life as he was well-loved. And so will you and the children as you continue to journey on earth while looking forward to the promise of the eternal reunion. Please know you are not alone in your grief and please reach out anytime you need anything. You have been in my prayers and thoughts often in the last week and I continue to pray that God will meet you and comfort you and family during this time. Love, Yvonne
