NICHOLLS Colin Robert Died suddenly at home on Monday January 29, 2018 aged 75 years. Dearly loved husband of Ruth for 49 years. Devoted father and father-in-law to Anne and Graeme, Ros and Richard. Amazing "Handsome Grandad" to Rebecca and Matthew; Bethany, Grace, Jessica and Lachlan. In God's care
Love and prayer for the Nicholls family. Colin is sadly missed.
Colin, We will miss you dear friend - your kindness and generosity in all things. Always ready to share your talents with others without complaint, we recognize how much we took you for granted. A man of true sincerity, clever but modest in all ways. A great Christian example. We wish Ruth & all your family great strength as we join to say goodbye. Peace. Esther & Brendon.
“Honest Abe” will be so missed. Can’t believe how privileged we were to see him in January on our recent Melbourne visit. So many great memories of fun times together when I was young and became almost part of the family. I pray blessings and strength to Mrs Nicholls and Anne and Ros and all the connected families as you grieve this sudden loss. May God’s peace flood over you. Much love Wendy
Expert and gentle, wise and humorous, humble and brilliant. We were so lucky to be in your presence for many years, although not long enough. Love and consolation to Ruth, Anne and Ros and your amazing grandchildren.
Dear Ruth, Anne and Graeme, Rebecca and Matthew. Ros and Richard, Bethany, Grace, Jessica and Lachlan. We send our deep sympathy on the death of Colin. We shall miss his special smile, sense of humour and his great talent to solve problems. We first met at Trinity Presbyterian Church over 50 years ago and we will miss him so much. May the loving arms of our Lord Jesus hold you close at this time. Love Barbara and Dale
Dear Ruth, Anne, Ros and families, We have lost a wonderful and trusted friend and you have lost your rock and devoted husband, father and the best grandfather you could have had. We share your sorrow and sense of loss as he has been a doer of all things, too many to list, for our church. His friendship, skills across all trades and wonderful sense of humour will be sorely missed. Jenny and Graeme Stone
Not an exhibition winning photo but recording Colin in an environment he loved. It will be interesting to look back at SAG (Social Activities Group) events and reflect on the many enjoyable walks and country outings we had with Colin and families.
Dear Ruth - You are very much in our thoughts and prayers. Colin did so much for all of us. With lots and lots of love - Tom and Elisabeth
Ruth, Colin was part of our friendship group while at school at Carey. I found it such a privilege to share Colin's story with such intimacy at his funeral. I play golf with two other members of this small Carey group, John Anson and Peter Allen. We think of you and offer our condolences to you and your family.
