The family of Dorothy "Dot" Pomfret is saddened to announce the passing of our precious Mum, Nanna, Sister in law and Auntie who passed very peacefully on 14th May 2018 at Strathdon Nursing Home. Mum is finally free of the pain, fear and confusion that she has suffered during her battle with dementia. She is now with her with her Lord and Saviour in heaven, along with her beloved Mum (Christina). We would like to thank the many people who spent time with mum during her illness and the staff at Strathdon, Forest Hills, for the love and care shown to mum during her final weeks.

Aunty Dot, you were and still are an amazing woman, who loved everyone so much. I miss you so much already, yet the news still doesn't feel real. I just feel so numb with hearing of your passing; just wishing it was a joke or something. However, deep down I know it is true, that I will never see you again. Aunty Dot, you would look after me when I was little, and thought I don't remember those times, I will always cherish that you and I, had a bond. I love you so much and it just completely breaks my heart that I never actually got to say goodbye. But until we meet again, please look down on me and be proud of how much I am achieving at university.

Sad times, I remember Aunty Dot as a Godly woman, now in Gods care. Thinking of you all at this sad time, Renee, Harold, Ruth, David, and all the family....GODS STRENGTH..

Dot, I was blessed to see you while you still remembered me and am grateful that you were happy Sharon and I had reconnected. I will miss your gentle smile and promise to be here to help Sharon through this sad time. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family and friends. Rest easy in God’s arms xxx

I love you forever Mum, although I miss you terribly it is comforting to know that you are at peace in God's love

Darling Nana Dot, From the moment you met me and my children you welcomed us with love and open arms. We loved to come over to your little unit to see you, you adored our visits and you loved the company too. Making lunches and entertaining us with your conversations. You and I would talk on the phone and that's probably what I'll miss the most this coming Mother's Day. Even though I have so many wonderful memories of you that I will cherish forever, I'm so blessed and very grateful to Aunty Shazz and Uncle Stew to have visited you when I was in Melbourne. Please know you'll be forever in our thoughts and our hearts. May you rest beautifully in Heaven, your place with The Lord. All our love forever and always Carla, Chelsea, Kyan, Chloe, Charlotte and Geoff xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox

I was praying that God would take you as I couldn't bear to see you suffering with your fear, anxiety, confusion and discomfort. I thank Him for taking you before you had to suffer any longer but I already miss you more than I would have thought possible. I take consolation in knowing that you are now with Jesus, enjoying a peace like you've never known before. I hope that God has vacuum cleaners in heaven. You will be there vacuuming the streets of gold. Mum, you were always there for us and never expected anything in return. You loved us with a love beyond compare and always let us know that you were proud of us, even when we may not have been so proud of ourselves. On Wednesday we will officially say goodbye to you. I hope we can give you a send off that you would be happy with. For your sake, there will be singing and rejoicing, even though our hearts will be breaking. Love you mum!

Dot - so dearly loved. She was a special friend to the Muller family for many years. Your care of us all, ironing, baking, phone calls, coffees and your faithful prayers will be forever cherished. You are now at peace and rest with Jesus whom you loved and served faithfully. We will miss you our dear friend. With love Di and John, Lisa, Tania, Adam and Amanda. Till we meet again.

To all dear Dot's family. She was such a beautiful and faithful "hugging" friend. We will miss her deeply, but we also rejoice that she is no longer in pain or suffering, but that she is now safely in the arms of Jesus that she loved and served. There are so many people at Crossway Baptist Church that never had the chance to meet, or even know who was that wonderful compassionate lady that so faithfully sent all those pastoral care cards for many years. We enjoyed our many "cuppas" and so often she spoilt us in years past, by those luscious sponges that she loved to surprise us with. Peter & I especially remember your solos and the times we shared together in the Crossway Connect Worship Singers. We were sad when your voice grew tired, and you had to give up. We look forward to singing together again in the Heavenly choir one day. We were so blessed and privileged to have dear Dot as our friend. Thank you for sharing her with us. Mum, I'll always remember your strength and love, you welcomed me into your family and treated me like your son. I miss you and wish you were still here but take comfort in knowing that you are happy now resting in the arms of the Lord.
