I Was very saddened to learn of the passing of Hawley. I first got to know him in the 1970's until 1999 when I moved on from MBC. But it was as I got older that I got to know him more. The more I got to know him, the higher the level of respect went. Those who knew him would more than likely concur very similar words. Our paths still crossed from time to time over the past 20 , and I always welcomed the chance to have a chat. That level of respect remained. He was also a person who gave tirelessly of himself in the field of church leadership. From my memory he served alongside many pastors in numerous roles. I know he did this in a very humble way. To Jenny and the family, please accept my belated condolences. Hawley was highly respected man by many who will be very sorely missed. He was also a really top person, and I was fortunate to see his caring side on more than occasion.
