Dear Sam, Audrey, Sarah & Family, I was deeply saddened to hear the news today. My thoughts are with you at this time and I pray that your and your family find peace and joy in knowing that Pastor Seng Yap is with the Lord. He has had such an impact on many lives including my own through his dedication and genuine love for those put in his charge. The lives he has changed will continue to have an impact on many others. I am sorry that I cannot be there with you and your family during this time but I will be thinking of you and praying for you all. Love, Reuben and family.

Dear Sam, Audrey and Sarah, My deepest condolences to you and family. May the Lord give you comfort and peace in this time of grief. May the memories of your dad and the love of the family surround you and give you strength in the days ahead. Uncle Seng Yap was a good role model. He showed strong leadership, dedication and commitment back in the days when I was a new believer. He, together with a few elders embraced us especially to the group of overseas (now referred to as international) students. We were very well looked after (including well fed) and seamlessly integrated into the church. Though he was our Senior Pastor then, he will always be our Uncle Seng Yap. So to Uncle Seng Yap, thank you for being you, thank you for all you have done and you will always be remembered. I know the heavens are shouting, "well done my good and faithful servant". In His love, Nigel Tan

I have known Pastor Seng Yap LEONG for 25 years. He was gracious and generous in housing the Bible college when it had its building program 20 years ago. He was an inspiration when he came on the 2008 Holy Land Tour - determined, strong, focused. His energy for the LORD and the ministry is a role model for many. He will be greatly missed.

He has lead a selfless life, giving his all serving God, relentlessly pursuing the lost sheep and ministering to all he is in contact with. He cared for others lots more than for his own. We miss him but praise God we will see him again when Father God calls us home. We now have to continue the legacy he has left behind. Bless the LORD.

Our dearest Sam, Audrey and Sarah, A man after God's own heart, a true shepherd who loved his flock. Yes, I remember him. A man of godly character, a role model to emulate. Yes, that was him. He never pressed us but always encouraged, He gently reproached but sandwiched it with love. A true disciple, he welcomed the vision and bore the sacrifice. For the Kingdom, he said. Always for the Kingdom. And then, I knew him. Your Daddy left a huge spiritual footprint in the lives of those he had touched. We miss him deeply and we stand in grief with you. We love him but God must love him more. We ask that God envelopes and comforts you in his peace during this very sad time. He is home with our Lord! Love, Gillian Voo(Liew) and Martin

Dear Sarah and family, So sorry to hear about your father. He was a great, kind and gentle pastor when I went to ACF. I remember him poking around my teeth growing up and will think of him with every smile. I know this is a hard time right now but remember that lots of people are thinking about your dad and how he made a positive impact on their lives. You're not alone! with fond remembrance, Ee Leng

Pastor /Papa Seng Yap Leong A devoted, loving, generous, humble, selfless servant of God, who champion the ministry of reconciliation given to him. A true Apostle, Pastor, Evangelist, Prayer Warrior, Teacher, Counsellor, a wonderful Matchmaker and a Spiritual Father, who loves his children and sees the potentials in them, what they can be and not what their past was. A loving, compassionate conciliator, listener and peacemaker who desires to see relationship restored and flourishing. A true shepherd who seek out for his sheep and rejoices with them in fellowship and together in worshipping and praising the LORD in Spirit and in Truth. 1 Corinthians 4:15-17Amplified Bible (AMP) For even if you were to have ten thousand teachers [to guide you] in Christ, yet you would not have many fathers [who led you to Christ and assumed responsibility for you], for I became your father in Christ Jesus through the good news [of salvation]. 2 Corinthians 5: 18-19 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Matthew 5:9 9 Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. God has a special plan for your life. Live from the righteousness of Christ in you and not towards righteousness. Ephesians 4:24 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. 2 Peter 1:3 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 1 Peter 4:17 17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. Philippians 4:8-9 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 2: 2 2 fulfil my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Romans 8:17 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. Ephesians 1:3 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, Ephesians 1:17-21 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. Ephesians 2:6 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 3:14-21 14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 4: 32 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 5:20 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Galatians 5:22 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Philippians 1: 9-10 9 And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, 10 that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ, 11 being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. Isaiah 43: 18-19 18 “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.

Uncle Seng Yap, Growing up, I would hear stories told of you by Por Por. Though you were far away in Australia, you were my ideal of what a pastor should be. You strove to love your fellow man as Christ loved the church. You were always ready to put the welfare of others before your own and you were always ready with a kind word, wise advice or a heartfelt prayer. Thank you for encouraging me, even from afar, with the way you glorified God. Sam, Audrey, Sarah and families, Our prayers and condolences from Singapore. We pray that God's shalom peace and agape love will be granted to you abundantly during this difficult time and sustain you till we all stand in His Presence again one joyful day.

Our condolences to the families of Sam and Grace, Audrey and Charles, and Sarah and Wesley. Ps Seng Yap has left a deep and lasting impression in our family, reminiscing the earlier days of ACF, the various meetings at the Ringwood house, the golf sessions, and many hours of chatting about the Kingdom of God. It was in ACF that we were given so many opportunities to serve under Ps Seng Yap's leadership. This ripple effect is continuing into the wider community of God.

We are so grateful to have been known and been blessed by such a wise, caring, loving and committed Pastor. Ps. Seng Yap was like a Father both spiritually and relationally impacting Aileen's life significantly. As was the case with countless others, he also invested quality time and fatherly wisdom into our relationship as husband and wife. Uncle Seng Yap has had such a significant impact on my life and my family's life. I am who I am as a Christian because of who he was and the life he had led. He taught me about God's love during my formative years, and I will forever be grateful. I thank God for the many prayers he has prayed over me, and the many times he had spoken words of encouragement to me in my darkest moments. I am grateful for the care he has shown to me and my brothers and parents, as our senior pastor for many years. I am thankful to God for his life.

We are so saddened to hear the passing of Ps Seng Yap. He was a kind loving fatherly figure with a deep passion for Christ. His life was a real testimony and great example for us. Thank you so much Ps Seng Yap, you have been a wonderful blessing in our life.

Uncle Seng Yap was a spiritual father to ACF, and to my family. I am so grateful for his leadership, character, and steadiness as I grew up within the community of ACF in my 15 formative years, both spiritually and physically. Thank you for sharing him with so many of us, and I am so sorry for the loss of your dad.

In your time of sorrow, Know that God is there, He will hold you in His arms And wipe away your tears He understands your pain; He feels the grief you feel Just give to Him your broken heart, For He, in time, will heal.

Thank you for sharing your father’s love to us!

It has been a delight for us to know Pastor Seng Yap Leong over many years. It was always delightful to talk with him about the things of God and the advancement of the Kingdom. May his memory motivate many more to have the same commitment to the Word and the Soul Saving Message of the Cross. Desma and I extend to his family, Audrey, Samuel and Sarah our heart-felt, loving sympathy at the great sense of loss that you naturally feel with the "Home Call" of your father. We are not unmindful of the grief that you will feel and pray that the Holy Spirit the Comforter will minister to you. While we are saddened at the "Promotion to Glory" of your beloved Dad, we are rejoicing with you in the knowledge that "absent from the body means present with the Lord". The day is coming when we shall all meet together, never to be parted again. The Celebration of Life Service today was a blessed tribute to a wonderful man of God. John and Desma Hewitt Founding Pastor the church@1330

Dear Audrey , Sam & Sarah, thank you for sharing your Dad's life with all of us today. It was a moving celebration of a life well lived for God. I was honoured to have known this 'giant' of a man in Christ. He had moulded and made many disciples of Christ by his own godly example. He has now gone on to receive the reward and praise of his labour in the Lord. I like to use the present tense because he lives now for all eternity, though he died!! We will hasten to follow in his footsteps of steadfastness in the faith he so faithfully championed. Take pride in the legacy he had left behind! Love & hugs Aunty Esther

Dear Sam, Grace, Audrey, Charles, Sarah, Wes, Thanks for sharing your daddy with us. He alway had time for us - bringing us the Heavenly Father's love and messages of hope. Papa Seng Yap - kind, loving, humble, generous, fierceless, gracious. We miss him dearly and we are grateful for the precious time he had with us. His message was 'in every situation the Lord is in control and we must acknlowdge His grace and His goodness' so we thank the Lord for Ps Seng Yap.

14 June 2017 Dear Samuel & Grace, Audrey & Charles, Sarah & Wes I am so sorry that I am not able to be present, but my prayers are certainly with you at this time. May the shalom of Yeshua be upon you all. Although I know that you will miss your dad, I also thank Yeshua that he had fought the good fight of faith, laid hold of eternal life and kept the faith (2 Tim 4:7). At least I managed to visit Seng Yap twice when he was in the hospital in Singapore, bringing a harpist with me to minister to him. We sang Scripture songs and worshipped together. Seng Yap requested that we sing the word of God to him over and over again. It was a joy to see that that made him so happy. Seng Yap and Bonnie have been very dear to me, ever since my Bible college days in 1984. They took such good care of me and my children. Their home was always open to us. One thing that I really learned from Seng Yap was his patience, especially in counselling. He was a very faithful, gentle and kind brother in the Lord, a pastor who had a true heart for His sheep. He was always ready to help anyone in need. There are so many fond memories of him to share but time does not permit. I have lost a dear friend. Farewell, my brother. We shall meet again.

Sarah and Wes, Sorry we couldn't be there yesterday, it sounds like it was a fitting tribute and celebration of an amazing man of God. All our love to your family xoxo

Seng Yap and I knew each other for over 60 years and we were the best of friends. It's difficult to accept this sudden fact and I know I'll miss him terribly. But God has His will. He wants Seng Yap to rest from his toils and labours on earth. I console myself that he has gone on ahead of me and I'll see him again someday. His life showed his closeness to God, in turn an inspiration to me and many others whom his presence touched. 2 Timothy truly reflects Seng Yap's service to God as Paul said, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, henceforth there is laid for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge will award to me and recompense me on that day." Amen! Good bye, my friend. We will meet again.

From Stephen (Lijiang, Yunnan) For me and many of our church family members, our understanding of YeaYea is not very deep, but we all like YeaYea, because he was kind and approachable. The most important thing is that we know YeaYea loved God very much, this is particularly encouraging for us. Many times YeaYea came to especially encourage our young spiritual life. Whenever we were not well and weak, we will use YeaYea to encourage ourselves! In particular this year we were moved by the serving ministry of YeaYea. Every church family member was touched and in tears, it was a special unforgettable moments ..... Now reflecting back, maybe it was specially arranged by God. YeaYea said he especially hope that God will take him home when he is serving God very well..... Once YeaYea is in heaven he will let us know that this was God's will, behind it certainly God had good intention? YeaYea's body has gone but his life will always inspire us. I think YeaYea definitely is in heaven looking at me and still say:”Stephen !!, you have to be strong and courageous, run the race for the Lord with all your strength ” Yes, YeaYea will continue to inspire us until the day we see the Lord and meet up with him. I'm sorry that many of our young people cannot express themselves. So far not many send any message to me, I feel what I have expressed here is also theirs. Therefore, I send this message to you on their behalf. If it is not too late, please help us write this message onto YeaYea’s etibute, in particular to express our gratitude to YeaYea’s family members for always supporting YeaYea’s ministry in China! Thank them! And also thank you to everyone of you!

The Storey of Me and YeaYea [Note: Most of the young people in China affectionately called Ps. Seng Yap Leong “YeaYea” (my father’s father)]. I am Abby,YeaYea’s granddaughter in China. I was born and grew up in Yunnan, China. I belong to a very small ethnic minority group the Mosuo. The Mosuo has a special marriage culture called “Walking Marriage” (??), mother and father live separately with their own family respectively. So I grew up with my mother's side of the family. At home I have Y-kung (mother’s father), Y-bou (mother’s mother), CheuCheu (mother’s brother) my mother and members of her family, in short, I grew up without YeYe (my father’s father). I don’t have the idea of what is YeaYea. But after knowing YeaYea from Australia, he gave me so much love that I truly experienced the love of a grandfather, in my heart he is truly my YeaYea. I met YeaYea in 2008, at aunty QingZie (Gao Jie) church in Shouguang, Shandong province; I was a student under training. I was very innocent and inexperience, I was not afraid of anything. Ester and I boldly told YeaYea that we are going to turn the Mosou culture around and change the history of the Mosou. YeaYea remembered deeply what we told him, he knew these two Y?tou (young girl) (Note Y?tou is a term/name reserved for the elder to affectionately call their daughter or granddaughter) were innocent and inexperience, did not know the challenges they need to overcome. YeaYea gave a very special and encouraging prophecy to us. The first meeting was so good and memorable. Until three years later in December 2011, YeaYea specially travelled from Australia to our home, in Lijiang, Yunnan, searching for us. That really surprised and shocked me. I remember the scene, it was so warm and moving. To this day I still remember what he said to us: "After our first meeting, God has put Ester and me into his heart, he could not forget us, so he made up his mind to look for these two Y?tou, to see us and want to know if we still remember our dream?” When I heard this, I was full of tears. In fact, I've almost forgotten that I used to be so passionate and on fire for God. God used YeaYea to pour out His unending love which saturated my heart, I was awakned again. Since that day, my relationship with YeaYea had changed, we became more deeply connected. In the later days, I can always hear YeaYea’s voice teaching and guiding me, and caring for my wellbeing. At that time I had a serious emotional problem of “orphan’s heart/spirit”, I did not know my identity, I did not know who I am? I had very low self-esteem and a sense of worthlessness. Over the phone I could always hear YeaYea helping me to get to know who I am ? My identity and values, he would tell me that I am beautiful, made me go to a mirror and look at myself, then asked me how do I felt seeing myself. Over the years, little by little, YeaYea helped me to build up and recognise my identity and self-worth, made me realised who I am, took away the heart of a lowly servant from me, releasing the Heavenly Father unending love. Helped me turn around and become a princess, His daughter. YeaYea not only spiritually built me up, he was also my YeaYea in real life. He often concerned about how well I eat? Do I have enough money? What kind of husband do I want ..etc.... YeaYea also travelled a long distance to the bank to send money to me, YeaYea had considered the gift he wanted to give me for my wedding these were the expressions of a grandfather's love for his granddaughter. These are real and I have truly received them. Similarly, over the past few years YeaYea had served our church, it’s been a great blessing and had significantly impacted every brother and sister in our church. People in our church do not know YeaYea as much as I do, but their love for him are no less than mine. Hey! I have lots and lots to say about YeaYea, but I am not able to share all of them. From the bottom of my heart I sincerely thank YeaYea for all the contribution he made to my life, It is such a great value. His life was like a touch that show me the direction for my life. I can see and follow that beam of light and continue to move forward. YeaYea was irreplaceable role model for my life. I love YeaYea! I miss him dearly! He will always be in my heart, encouraging me to move foward toward that beam of light. Finally, I would like to especially thank YeaYea’s family, thank you for supporting YeaYea in his ministry of serving throughout his life. YeaYea’s contributions are priceless. Similarly your supports toward YeaYea are also priceless. Also, thank you to ACF church contributions toward our church, the annual training sessions and your encouragements have impacted us so much, it greatly helped our church to grow and mature. Thank you all!
